Stephen Leroy Shute, 73, has finally found peace when he passed away December 30, 2013.  He was born January 17, 1940 in Sullivan County, Indiana.  He was predeceased by his parents, Duane A. and Claribel Davidson Shute.  Survivors include two sisters, Jane (Steve) Shute Hoster, Indianapolis and Patty (Stan) Shute Wachel, Amherst, New Hampshire; two children, Susan Lynn Durkos, Indianapolis, and Duane Durkos, Zionsville; and his former wife Ann Martin Shute Durkos, Lebanon.

Steve was an Eagle Scout who graduated from Shortridge High School in 1957 and attended Purdue University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Purdue University or to the charity of your choice.

There will be no calling hours, and a private burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery at a later date.
